Suspects Sought In East Ridge BiLo Robbery Attempt

East Ridge Police responded to the BiLo store at 3715 Ringgold Road on Tuesday, at 9:26 a.m., in reference to a robbery attempt.

Police were told by store employees that three black males, in their early 20’s, wearing masks, entered the store and demanded money; however fled the scene without any.

Officers searching the area spoke to a witness who said a light blue Ford Expedition with chrome wheels was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed just after the robbery attempt.

Man Charged With 2000 Murder In East Ridge Is Returned To Chattanooga

A man charged in a murder in East Ridge that happened over 16 years ago has been returned to Chattanooga. Jason Kirk Sanford, who is now 43, is set to appear in the courtroom of Criminal Court Judge Tom Greenholtz on Sept. 8.
