Cofield, Helen Sosebee (Dalton)

Helen Sosebee Cofield, 84, of Dalton, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Dixon Sosebee; parents, Charles & Essie Rose; sisters, Marion Carroll and Betty Mullinax; and brothers, Charlie and Wayne Rose.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Chattanooga.

She is survived by her husband, Garland Cofield of McDonald, TN; daughter, Sharon Sosebee Bonifacious of Chatsworth; sons & daughters-in-law, Gary & Geraldine L. Sosebee and Steve & Connie Sosebee, all of Dalton; sisters, Catherine Cornelison and Barbara Driscoll, both of Dalton; brother & sister-in-law, David & Shelia Rose of Cohutta; grandchildren, Paige, Zach & Wendy and Anissa Sosebee, Mandy and Andy Sharpe, Kyle Bonifacious, Ashley and James Edwards and Joseph Sosebee; and great-grandchildren, Asher, Ava and Addie Jayne Sharpe, Hamodi and Omar Usman and Miana Edwards.

A celebration of life service to honor Helen Sosebee Cofield will be held Wednesday, December 26, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Darey Kittle and David Rose officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, December 25 from 6-9 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lottie Moon Christmas offering in Helen’s memory at the church of one’s choice.

Clayton Morris Rowe,  91,   of Chattanooga, died on  Friday, February 12, 2016 .   He was born March 28, 1924 in Stearns, Kentucky to the late Ledford and Dora Rowe.
