Volunteers Needed To Retrieve Over 20,000 Wreaths At Chattanooga National Cemetery Saturday Morning

Thursday, January 18, 2018

Last month, over 400 community volunteers distributed more than 20,000 wreaths on the headstones at the Chattanooga National Cemetery to honor and remember service men and women.

Civil Air Patrol’s 2d Lt Austen Roberts said, “First, we really appreciate each of the volunteers that either sponsored a wreath, attended our ceremony or helped distribute wreaths in December. Thank you.  Also, thank you to all the people that worked behind the scenes to make the event a smashing success. The media did a great job of getting the word out, and thanks also to Covenant Transport and U. S. Xpress for trucking the wreaths from Maine to Chattanooga.

“Now, we need volunteers to help us retrieve the wreaths and place them in dumpsters for disposal.  Just come in your work clothes for a couple of hours on Saturday at 9 a.m., and with enough volunteers, we’ll have the job done in an hour or two.”

Everyone who can help should arrive at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. Written details will be provided as you enter the gate.  Proceed to the left and park in the grass lot across from the pavilion, not on the roads.

The Logic of Hysteria: A Hometown Look from A Thousand Miles Away

There was a shooting recently in my hometown, in the parking lot of the mall. It made the national news and I was reading the user comments on the story. The police say there was never an active shooter, ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: Why CNN Is Gonna Croak

I believe CNN (Cable News Network) has become one of the most disappointing news sources America has ever known in the last five years. The bastions of sound journalism no longer exist as the once-great organization has gone the way of liberal loathing. Its new basis-of-fact cannot be trusted and the overwhelming bias against conservatives in our nation is as morbid as it is frightening. ... (click for more)
