$750,000 Is Too Much For A Monument

Saturday, February 10, 2018

I mourn for the fallen ones, just like many Chattanoogans, but find three quarters of a million dollars total waste for several reasons.

First, beauty is in the eye of the beholder so many people will not like it.

Second, that is just too much money that could be spent for school repairs.

Third, it will be tagged, ruined, defaced or just smashed to smithereens.

Fourth and the truest, in a few years it will be seen as a racist symbol of war and the good war hating people will have it hauled away.

Fifth,  who hangs out in the swamp off Amnicola?
