Hawks Close Out Home Season By Beating Franklin Prep 75-55

Hamilton Heights placed five players in double figures Saturday and defeated Franklin Prep to close out the Hawks’ home schedule.

Kevaughn Ellis sparked the Hawks (19-7) with 18 points and Tre Edwards gave strong offensive support with 15 points. Jordan Rawls added 12 points while Wheza Panzo and Sam Ruzhentsev each added 10.

33px;">Rawls added 10 assists and seven rebounds and Jason Jitoboh grabbed 10 rebounds and Uros Plasvic seven.

Edwards had three break-away dunks and Ellis knocked down a 3 helping the Hawks to stretch a one-point lead after one quarter into a 33-24 margin at halftime.

Franklin Prep, a post-graduate program from Clemson, South Carolina, went on a 12-2 run against Hawk reserves in the fourth period and cut Hamilton Heights’ lead to 12 with four minutes to play.

Coach Zach Ferrell sent his starters back on the court and the Hawks quickly pushed their lead back to 20 in about 90 seconds.

Desmond Price led Franklin Prep with 17 points, 15 coming on five 3-pointers.

Hamilton Heights will play Covenant Christian on Tuesday in Marietta, Georgia.
