Councilman Henderson Seeks "Downzoning" For Section Of The Quarry Property At Mountain Creek

City Councilman Chip Henderson said he will seek a downzoning of a section of The Quarry property at Mountain Creek. He said the owner of the former golf course is opposed to changing the current C-2 zoning at the portion that includes the clubhouse. However, he said the community favors it. Federal Judge Sandy Mattice has dismissed the lawsuit filed in the officer-involved shooting death of Javario Eagle on Dec. 12, 2015.
