Nunnelly Named SoCon Student-Athlete Of The Week

Wednesday, September 12, 2018
Awards keep coming in for University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sophomore receiver Bryce Nunnelly.  He was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for competition held Sept. 5-11, the league office announced today.

The SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week is given to the league top performer in fall sports with a cumulative 3.3 GPA or higher.  A Mechanical Engineering major, Nunnelly holds a 3.84 grade point average. This is in addition to his National & SoCon Player of the Week honors he garnered on Monday.

Nunnelly threw the game-winning 2-point conversation and had 10 catches for 268 yards and two touchdowns in the Moc’s 29-28 overtime win at The Citadel. His 76-yard touchdown in the first quarter tied him for the 17th longest in school history and his second long one of the season.

He had UTC’s most receiving yards in a game since Joel Bradford’s school-record (274) in 2010 and the most catches in a game since Xavier Borishade (10) in 2015.

UTC is set to continue nonconference play as it travels to Martin, Tennessee, to take on UT Martin on Saturday.

Drink Up, Chattanooga

Roy Exum: Dear Faux Pelini

Oh, there isn’t anything real sexy about Villanova beating Georgetown or a baseball player hitting for the cycle. Now, if a player hits a single, double, triple and homer in that order, that’s “a natural cycle,” and that is kind of fun to ... (click for more)
