A Volkswagen News Forum will be held on Tuesday at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church, 1734 East 3rd St., at 6 p.m.
The forum will discuss information about upcoming Volkswagen jobs and what they require as well as training the workers will undergo.
On Monday Volkswagen of America opened their job application site online and it will remain open for three weeks. They are expecting that most applications will be submitted during the first four days that the site is open and the last 24 hours before it closes. All will receive equal consideration irrespective of the order that they send the application.
A Chamber of Commerce representative will acquaint the audience with the types of companies coming to Chattanooga and the skills the applicants will need.
Chattanooga State Community College, the major trainer for Volkswagen, will have representation present to talk about programs at the College as well as criteria to for participation with VW.
Volkswagen will have personnel present to talk about how to apply, jobs, timelines and other pertinent information.
