Greek Pastry Sale Is Nov. 13

The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and Ladies Philoptochos Society, a philanthropic organization, announce the Greek Pastry Sale on Friday, Nov, 13, from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., or till sold out, at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 722 Glenwood Drive (across from Memorial Hospital), 629-2364.

Pastries including scrumptious favorites such as baklava, spanakopita, Greek wedding cookies, and sweet bread will be sold.

Organizers said, "The made-from-scratch delights keep well and make great holiday gifts."

Two Greek meals, a pastitsio dinner with a small Greek salad and country bread and a large Greek salad and country bread, will be available for eat-in or carry-out from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

A Mediterranean Market will feature Mediterranean items including award-winning olive oils and vinegars.

Locally, Philoptochos supports the Community Kitchen, Times-Free Press Neediest Cases, Chattanooga Room in the Inn, and Ronald McDonald House in addition to assisting families in need. The Chattanooga chapter also supports humanitarian efforts on a
national level.
