Cobb, Robert P. posted November 6, 2009
He was of the Christian Church faith and was owner of Robert Cobb Signs. Mr. Cobb was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in Guadal Canal and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by a son, John Robert “Bobby” Cobb. Survivors include his wife, Cora W. Cobb; two daughters, Claudia Anderson and her husband Robert of Nashville, and Patricia McCoy and her husband Eddy of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist with the Rev. Jim Palmer officiating. Entombment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
