A 23-year-old Dalton man was struck and killed in Varnell, Ga., while trying to retrieve a dollhouse from the roadway after it fell from his vehicle.
Russell Johnson, of 3436 Discovery Lane, was hit by another vehicle on Thursday night on Georgia Highway 2 near Varnell Elementary School.
The Georgia State Patrol said he died while en route to a hospital after the accident after 9 p.m.
