A 71-year-old Dunlap man and his three-year-old great-grandson were killed in a crash on Highway 111 on Cagle Mountain late Friday afternoon.
The victims were Wayne Seals and Randy Rothwell, who is from Spring City.
The Tennessee State Patrol said Mr. Seals was driving a Ford Taurus that went under the trailer of a Freightliner tractor-trailer.
The driver of the rig, Clifford Bowman, 56, of Cleveland, Tn., was not injured.
The patrol was doing an accident reconstruction on Saturday to try to help determine what happened.
The patrol said no drugs or alcohol were involved.
The big rig was hauling logs.
The wreck happened shortly before 6 p.m. as both victims came down the mountain.
Both victims were dead at the scene.
